What is the Service?
The YWCA Edmonton Community Visions Program provides a range of respite and support services for adults with disabilities.
Why is There a Service?
The Community Visions Program is designed to reinforce the family and the community as the natural environments for adults requiring supports.
Who Does it Serve?
The Community Visions Program provides respite to families who have adult relatives still residing in the home. We provide support for adults who have any degree of developmental disabilities, including those who are medically fragile, or who have mental health concerns.
How to Access the Service
Contact the Community Visions Program for Adults with Disabilities
at: 423-9922 ext. 243. A Program Coordinator will then contact
the family to discuss service needs.
A follow-up visit will be made to provide an opportunity for the
family to learn more about the Community Visions Program, and for
the required application process to be completed.
Service Costs
The Community Visions Program is funded through Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD). A Program Coordinator will submit a staffing budget to PDD for approval to provide required supports.
