What is the Service?
The YWCA Edmonton Family Services provides a range of respite and support services for children with disabilities.
Why is There a Service?
Family Services is designed to reinforce the family and the community as the natural environments for a child requiring supports.
Who Does it Serve?
Family Services provides respite to families who have a child with a disability. The program provides supports for children who are developmentally delayed, medically fragile, or who have mental health concerns.
Service Costs
YWCA Family Services for Children with Disabilities is funded through several bodies. A YWCA program Coordinator will submit a staffing budget to these funding bodies to provide required supports to the family.
Funding for Family Services for
Children with Disabilities is provided through:
- Region 6 Child and Family Services
- Region 6 Family and Community Support Services
- Region 6 family Support for Children with Disabilities
- Child and Family Services from various Other Regions
