Host Family Program

Host Families offer short-term respite within their own home for a child/children with disabilities. Host families provide drop-off care, overnight care, weekend respite and out-of -school-days respite. Most families caring for children with disabilities in this program access their Host Families one weekend per month on a regular schedule. If the family chooses, they may accumulate the number of days they are allowed for a Host Family and use all these days at once, allowing parents the opportunity for an extended respite period.
