Prism Facilitator

Prism is a support group offered simultaneously with the Rainbows program to assist parents/guardians in understanding divorce and separation issues from a child's perspective and enhance their ability to support their child. This position provides supportive listening, compassion and encouragement to parents and guardians of children and youth attending the Rainbows program. This program requires a fifteen-week commitment; training is provided.

Skills required:

  • Must be an adult
  • A desire to assist and strengthen families
  • An understanding of family dynamics is an asset
  • A current criminal records check is mandatory prior to commencing the position

Location:

  • Winter – sessions held in central Edmonton; starts late January or early February.
  • Fall – sessions held in north and/or south Edmonton; starts early September.

Hours:

  • 6-8:30 p.m. once a week, plus an occasional weekend.
