Society of the Friends of the YWCA in Edmonton
The Society of the
Friends of the YWCA in Edmonton is a group of YWCA supporters
who raise funds from casino events for the YWCA Edmonton's programs
and services. These volunteers' effort and time have been invaluable
and greatly apprecited over the years. Every two years, they
raised approximately $80,000, which is used
for YWCA programming, capital and projects.
Volunteers are required for eight-hour shifts at each casino
event to fill a number of positions. It is a great way to meet
others, who are also interested in supporting women and their
families in Edmonton
