Special Event Volunteers

The YWCA Edmonton participates in many trade shows and information display opportunities to generate awareness about the YWCA programs and services.

Volunteers are often needed to assist us at these events to set up, greet visitors, provide information and take down the display. This is an excellent opportunity to help in the community while attending many interesting events.

Skills required:

• A good command of oral English
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• An ability to interact, in a positive manner, with people from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work independently
• An ability to lift and carry up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Location:

• Various, depending on event,
• Volunteers must have their own transportation.
• Volunteers will be reimbursed for pre-approved expenses.
