Shaw Charity Classic and YWCA Edmonton History
Over the past four years, we have been so grateful to Shaw for their support of YWCA Edmonton’s youth programming through their annual Shaw Charity Classic and Birdies for Kids program. Their support has been felt across all of our programs serving and supporting Alberta’s young people from our Counselling Services to our GirlSpace program and our beloved Camp Yowochas. This year, though we can’t physically come together for the Shaw Charity Classic event, Shaw is still committed to supporting YWCA Edmonton during this critical year, with your help.
The real winners of the Shaw Charity Classic have always been the hundreds of thousands of children and youth across Alberta who rely on charitable organizations, like ours, that support local community needs. This year, Albertans can help raise money for local organizations like ours though the #ChipinforKids campaign. Donations and matched contributions raised through #ChipinforKids program will help ensure that YWCA Edmonton and other local charities that have been strained by COVID-19 will be able to continue supporting our community.
