YWCA Edmonton provides programs and services to 8,000 people each year — support they depend on every day.

 YWCA Edmonton is a strong, reputable voice for women in our city. We lead, support, and advocate for women and families when and where they need us, as we continue to build a world of equality, opportunity, and choice for women.

Services for Women & Families

Camp Yowochas

Camp Yowochas is YWCA Edmonton’s highly-regarded outdoor education centre and summer camp, hosting more than 7,000 children, youth, and adults each year.

Counselling Services

Our Counselling Services offer affordable psychological support to all who need it. We provide more than 3,300 hours of counselling to approximately 400 clients annually.

Disability Services

Disability Services serves close to 200 children and adults with disabilities each year, empowering them to achieve their full potential through community support.

Lakeside Haven

Lakeside Haven is a retreat where women and children who have experienced family violence and are currently living in a shelter can heal together as a family. 


GirlSpace® is an afterschool program serving young teen girls that provides a safe place to ask important questions, learn critical thinking skills, and support one another.

Girls Counselling

The Girls Counselling Group is a low-cost, weekly drop-in program that provides a safe place to receive support, ask important questions, and discuss girl-specific topics.
